We're happy to help you with any of your questions personally, but here are the answers to a few of the most commonly asked questions.

Why do you require a deposit?We take payment of a deposit in order to confirm your booking. We do this so that we can be sure that your chosen property is secured for you and cannot be booked by someone else.

How much is the deposit?To make a confirmed booking you will need to pay a deposit. We will advise you of this amount prior to booking. Depending upon the property owner or manager terms and conditions, the deposit will typically be 25% of the total booking value. Higher deposits may be required for some accommodation, where a booking is made close to the date of occupancy or at certain times of the year. The deposit for bookings made at Peak times will be 50% of the total booking value. If you book within 30 days of departure, typically full payment for the booking will be required at time of booking confirmation.

When is the full payment due?Full and final payment for your booking will be due prior to your planned stay at the property. Specific payment dates vary by property but typically the dates for final payment are: Summer/ Winter Seasons – 60 days prior to arrival Peak Season (Christmas/ New Year) – 90 days prior to arrival If you book within 30 days of departure, full payment for the booking will be required at time of booking confirmation.

How do I know that my payment is secure?Payments can be made by either bank transfer or credit/ debit card. Banks typically carry out a payee verification process prior to your payment to confirm that you are paying the correct payee. Banks usually also have a two-factor authentication process to ensure payments are protected. For credit/ debit card, payments are made through our accredited merchant provider, and require your full card details including security code before a payment can be taken.

What is the cancellation policy? Can I get a refund?To cancel a confirmed booking, the person who made the booking must contact us by phone or email. Cancellation takes effect on the date we confirm your request. If you cancel a confirmed booking, you may incur a cancellation charge depending upon the specific property and when the cancellation was made. Cancellation details are covered in the specific terms and conditions of the property owner/manager with which you have made your booking. Refunds, or deferral of your booking to alter date, are typically available from most property owners/ managers - details are provided in the terms and conditions of your booking contract with them.

Will the final price be different from the quote?The final price for your booking will be the same as that which we quote you prior to confirming your booking. The only exception to this will be if you require additional extras which are not included in the accommodation price. We will always let you know about these in advance.

Will there be a Security Deposit?Most property owners require that a refundable Security Deposit is paid prior to your stay. We will apply this amount to your confirmation/ invoice and will retain this on their behalf, unless this is payable locally, in which case we will inform you at the time of booking. The Security Deposit will be used to make good any damage to the Property (fair wear and tear excepted) for which you are responsible. Security Deposits will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure date.

How do I make payments?We accept payment directly by bank transfer or by credit/ debit card. Credit/ Debit Cards We accept the following cards free of charge: Visa Debit / Credit MasterCard Debit / Credit Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express as a means of payment. We also accept the following payment methods, which attract a 2% charge from the provider of the service: Purchasing Cards Non-UK registered debit cards (even if they are GBP denominated) Corporate Cards

Are discounts available?From time to time, discounts on villas and apartments are offered by their owners. We will always let you know if these are available to you when you enquire with us or before you make a booking.

Are there any additional costs I should be aware of?There may be some occasions where additional costs may be payable, for example for rental of equipment, additional staff or groceries. In all cases we will clearly let you know about these in advance.

Does the price include VAT?All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. The current rate of VAT in Barbados is 7.5% In addition, Barbados now levies a Shared Economy Tax of 10% of the total booking price. This tax is not included in the price but will be added to your final bill.

Do you charge a credit card or booking fee?We encourage payments to be made by bank transfer. If you would like to pay by credit card, we will add the following charges to your invoice: Visa and MasterCard Credit: 2.5% American Express: 4% Other credit card and charge cards: 4%

Do you offer insurance?We do not provide holiday insurance and It is your responsibility to ensure that you are adequately insured. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance, which should include cover against the cost of cancellation by you and assistance (including repatriation) in the event of accident or illness to you or one of your party. We also recommend that you read your policy details carefully and take them with you on your trip.

What is the best way to choose the right villa for me?We are committed to helping you find the right property to meet your requirements and budget. We have extensive knowledge of the fine detail of what’s available on the island, the pros and cons and the costs. We usually have a number of conversations with you during the process of finding the right villa or apartment for you and will provide you with various options to consider. We are very motivated to helping you to get it right, so that you can enjoy your time in Barbados.

Who is my contract with – Our Villa Barbados or the property owner/ manager?Your contract is with the specific property owner or property manager at whose property you make a booking. Each property owner or property manager that we work with has its own booking terms and conditions and these may be somewhat different in each case. Your booking is subject to our terms and conditions and the specific booking conditions of the relevant property owner you contract. You are advised to read both carefully prior to booking because by booking a property you agree to those terms and conditions. We will let you have a copy of these property specific conditions at the time of booking but can, of course, provide these beforehand if you would like to see them. Except where otherwise specified, we act only as an agent in respect of all property bookings we make on your behalf.

Can you organise flights?We do not directly arrange flights, or any other elements of your holiday. We are, however, able to introduce you to or connect you with trusted and reputable providers of a range of services which may be helpful to you in putting together your overall package, but we do not provide or arrange these for you. We will be happy to discuss your requirements and introduce you to appropriate suppliers, all of whom are known to us.

Are airport transfers included, or can you arrange that for us?Airport transfers are not included, we provide only an accommodation booking service. However, we can introduce you to reputable and trusted providers of this service who would be happy to arrange this for you.

Do we have to pay the full rent if we book a villa with more bedrooms than we need?All prices for the properties that we offer are based on a rate per night for the entire property, regardless of how many people are staying on that night. All properties have limits on the number of people permitted to stay and these are shown on the booking contract with the property owner or manager.

Is there a minimum stay?Minimum stay periods vary by time of year and individual property. A minimum of 7 nights is usually required. Peak periods are a minimum of two weeks in most villas. We can provide full details about the minimum stay at each property during our discussions about what accommodation is right for you.

What is the booking process?Once we have found and agreed on the right property for you, we will send you a booking confirmation form which we will ask you to sign and return to us either by scan and email or by post. Once we have received this we will ask you to pay the appropriate booking deposit which will fully confirm the booking. Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when the confirmation invoice and/ or confirmation email to you is issued and you have paid your booking deposit. We ask that you check your booking confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. This includes ensuring that names are exactly as stated in the passports of the members of the party.

What is the check-in process?Check in times vary by property, but in general check-in is usually 4pm. This is so that the property staff have time following the previous check-out to prepare the villa for you. If, however, there is no same-day handover, the property manager may advise us that you can check in earlier. You will be met by the villa representative who will make sure that you familiarised with the property and its amenities and hand you the welcome pack which has various important information and telephone numbers. The villa manager will be there to assist you with anything you may need during your holiday. Local phone numbers are free of charge in Barbados; only international calls are charged. There is a landline available in the property to call local numbers.

What is the check-out process?Check-out is at 12 noon. The villa manager will come to meet you to say farewell and will carry out an inspection of the property to ensure that there are no damages which you have not informed us about. Once thai is complete, the manager will check you out.

Will anyone access the villa during my stay?Apart from the appropriate and agreed villa staff (catering, butler, cleaning) no-one will have access to the villa whilst you are there.

Is the water safe for drinking?Barbados tap water is safe to drink, the island water is filtered naturally through the natural island coral.
